ALANNA UBACH has been described as "a seriously talented actress" by the NY Times, "one to watch," by USA Today, and “a protean actress” by the New York Post. Recent credits include the film RANGO alongside Johnny Depp , and her recurring role as Thomas Jane’s sexy nextdoor neighbor on HBO’s HUNG. Alanna is also well known for playing the housekeeper that devirginized Ben Stiller in MEET THE FOCKERS, and for playing the angriest waitress in the world, Naomi in Lionsgate’s WAITING and it’s sequel STILL WAITING. Alanna has directed and written two short films, MI AMOR MI DULCE, which premiered at LA’s OUTFEST, and the puppet short THE FART SHOW. She also has written a 1950’s road movie noir musical alongside SNL alum Patrick Weathers and acclaimed screenwriter Patrick Read Johnson entitled LIFE AFTER DONNA DELL, which will be directed by Aram Rappaport in the winter of 2009.
Some of Alanna’s other well known film roles include playing Reese Witherspoon’s brunette best friend in LEGALLY BLONDE 1 and 2, Matthew Bright’s FREEWAY, CLOCKWATCHERS alongside Toni Colette, and Scott Silver's JOHNS.She also co-starred with Vince Vaughn in JUST YOUR LUCK and opposite Jeremy Piven and in LAYIN’ LOW. Other film roles include SISTER ACT II, AIRBORNE, RENNAISANCE MAN, and THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE.
Ubach’s voice has been featured on such animated series SPIDERMAN, TEAMO SUPREMO, OZZIE AND DRIX, BRANDY AND MR. WHISKERS, HIGGLEYTOWN HEROES, HANDY MANDY, and as the lead voice of Manny Rivera in Nickelodeon’s ANNIE Award winning Mexican superhero series EL TIGRE. On television she created the role of "Josie" on the Cable Ace Award winning educational children's science series BEAKMAN’S WORLD. She has guest starred on many shows, including FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, ELI STONE, CSI: NY and HOUSE THE CLOSER, MONK, WEST WING and ER. Her improv work as been seen on shows such as THE DAVID SPADE SHOW, LEWIS BLACK’S ROOT OF ALL EVIL and THE ADAM CAROLLA SHOW. She has starred Off Broadway in KINDERTRANSPORT AND CLUB SODA and in June, 2008, Ms. Ubach debuted her critically acclaimed one woman show OFF Broadway, PATRIOTIC BITCH.
